01Who we are
Dawnlist is run by [PLACEHOLDER: legal name], registered at [PLACEHOLDER: business address]. You can reach us at [PLACEHOLDER: support email address].
02What Dawnlist does
Dawnlist gives businesses that sell to local businesses lists of local businesses, in any city Google Maps covers, that show a measured sign they need what you sell. Each lead includes the business, the sign and the measurement behind it (for example a Google PageSpeed result, the website's security certificate, its email domain's DNS records or its Google reviews), a decision-maker we found on the company's own site or in Google results, a checked email address with its label (“verified” or “likely”), and a drafted first email in the language you choose.
Each weekday, a list of up to 15 leads starts building at 6am in your time zone. We don't promise a number of leads on any given day. We never send you the same business twice, but another customer may receive the same business.
03Your account
- Dawnlist is for business use. You must be able to enter into a contract for your business.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You may share your lists with people in your own business. Don't resell or publish them.
04Price and billing
Your first list is free and needs no card. After that, Dawnlist costs $99 a month or $990 a year. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, which adds any sales tax or VAT due where you are at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel from Billing in your dashboard; after that you won't be charged again.
05Contacting the businesses on your lists
You send every email yourself, from your own inbox, and you are responsible for following the email rules where your prospects are. Dawnlist never emails your prospects.
The rules differ by country. Some examples, which are not legal advice:
- United States (CAN-SPAM): say who you are, use honest subject lines, include your business's postal address, and stop emailing anyone who asks.
- United Kingdom (PECR and UK GDPR): companies can be emailed if you offer an opt-out; sole traders and partnerships need consent first.
- Germany and Austria: cold email to businesses usually needs prior consent.
- Elsewhere in the EU: rules vary by country, and some require prior consent.
- Canada (CASL), Australia and New Zealand: only email addresses the person has published, about their business role, with your contact details and an opt-out.
The app shows a short note for your market. It is a reminder, not legal advice. Every Dawnlist draft ends with a short opt-out line: keep it, and honour every opt-out. Don't use Dawnlist to send spam, to harass anyone, or to contact people who asked not to hear from you, and don't try to copy, scrape or resell the service.
06How accurate the data is
Every sign is what we measured when we checked: Google PageSpeed's result, the website, its certificate, its DNS records or its Google reviews at that moment. Websites change, so results can differ when you or the business check again; each sign links to a way to check it yourself. Email labels tell you how sure we are: “verified” means the mail server confirmed the address, and “likely” means the server accepts every address, so the address could not be confirmed. We can't promise any email will be delivered or answered.
Drafted emails are checked by code to cite the measured facts and make no other claims. Read every email before you send it.
07The guarantee and refunds
Our 150-email guarantee and how refunds work are covered in the refund policy.
08Ending the service
You can stop using Dawnlist at any time by cancelling in Billing. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; unless the breach is serious, we'll warn you first. When you ask us to close your account, we delete its data within 30 days.
09Liability
Dawnlist is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost deals, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have jurisdiction.
